Smriti Rana
Smriti has been in the field of palliative care for the last 24 years with deep personal ties to her work, having experienced the deaths of several immediate family members in quick succession. She uses integrative approaches to support people experiencing illness-related suffering and those facing death. She is on the national Advance Care Planning Taskforce. She is especially invested in pain relief, death literacy, and decolonising and humanising healthcare practices. Smriti lives in the Nilgiris and is a keen observer of the natural world. Elephants, raptors and wild dogs are her favourites, and she has a budding interest in fungi. She loves storytelling in all its forms.
