
General Rajan Ravindran
Lt Gen Rajan Ravindran (Retd) is a distinguished former officer of the Indian Army, with over four decades of leadership across operations, strategy, education, and administration. Decorated with the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Vishisht Seva Medal, his career spans command roles in critical military operations—including Siachen, Kashmir, and the Northeast—as well as senior appointments in strategic planning and military diplomacy.
A scholar-practitioner, he holds a Ph.D. in Transformational Leadership and advanced degrees in defence, strategy, and human rights. He has headed premier institutions such as the Army Wing of the Defence Services Staff College and managed expansive infrastructure, educational and healthcare networks within the armed forces.
In retirement, Lt Gen Ravindran continues to contribute as a visiting professor, researcher, and trustee of Earth Trust in the Nilgiris. He serves on editorial and academic boards, and remains committed to nation-building through education, mentorship, and social service.
