Shohini Dasgupta

Shohini is a textile designer and an alumna of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. She has worked extensively with textile craft techniques for luxury artisanal clothing labels, focusing on supporting the livelihoods of craft communities through thoughtful design interventions. Prints and embroideries are central to her area of interest.

At Coonoor & Co, she works closely with Toda artists and artisans on design and development, helping bridge traditional indigenous Toda embroidery with contemporary textiles and textile art. Her approach keeps the Toda community and their exquisite GI-tagged embroidery at the forefront of the work.
